This project is the summary of 2 years of interest in the field of generative architecture. It is not the intention to design a beautiful building this time. The primary intention of the project, is to iron out all the little problems that currently make a true generative architecture seem very far away. Learning from previous experiments |

The idea of the project, is to develop and test a series of passive, intelligent architecturally legible objects that a human designer can use to create a design for a building quickly, whilst empowering them to make complex design manoeuvres. The project proposes and investigates a fundamental change to the way we design. With particular reference to the way that we use digital technologies in the architectural design process. Previously we manipulated lines or sometimes buildings elements to create virtual buildings, this project is different; It is built from a library of objects which make the primary building blocks spaces and circulation, to which elements such as walls can then be clipped on to. The exciting function of the GenDes tool is that the spaces are aware of each other, and a passive machine intelligence could be applied to the building.
